You know, nothing is sadder than science being horribly misunderstood. Such is the case when people take a nut job like Charles Tart at face value. His own inability to really grasp the science (even though he is fairly well connected in science circles) is second only to his supporters total disregard for physics.<\/p>\n

He is a pretty good marketer though, he has taken the common pseudo-science attack of claiming that skeptics are mean people to a all new high water mark. This allows throngs of followers to feel intellectually superior even as they suck deep from the tit of idiocy.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I am ont his thread because of a hopefully sarcastic “essay” called The End of Consent<\/a> that is either brilliant satire or sad, sad naivet\u00c3\u00a9. I can’t say for sure which it is.<\/p>\n
