As some of you know, I own a website called PopAngel and for years I ran it as a hobby that I spent only a little time on. It was popular, but it is also a prime example of a site that could be monetized if it was organized right. As I et more and more skilled in SEO and traffic driving, Popangel is a good test bed in 2010.
One of the things I want to do is create a “hall of fame” – a series of standing pages (rather than simple blog entries) that hold information on the most popular babes of popular culture. Supermodels, MMA girls, entertainers and so on. I am planning on somewhere between 10 and 30 girls. I have begun gathering a list of resources in Delicious under the “4popangel” tag but I am willing to accept other girls into the list. J-POP and K-POP are welcome!
The task, should you decide to accept it is this…
- Pick a girl (from my list, or suggest one of your own) and let us know in the comments who you are working on to avoid duplicates.
- Gather some basic biographical information, basic stuff like latest known measurements, birthdates and marital status.
- Gather links to their official websites, Wikipedia entries, Askmen entries, IMDB pages (if applicable) and Chickpedia page.
- Put together one to two paragraphs in the nature of “what’s hot about her” or “why we love her!” – think the sort of thing that Entertainment tonight might write, but a little more honest. “A stunning blonde, Britney burst onto the scene at only 16 years of age…”.
- Specifically the voice to use is “we”… “we like, we love, we think she has a great ass…”
- Find 10-15 photos from the web that show her at her best. NO NUDITY or HARDCORE. D on’t take too many from the same source and only take photos that are readily available on multiple sites or clearly under creative commons. For instance a photo shoot that is on 15 “babe” and “gossip” sites is fine by me, but a personal shot one guy took that’s on their Flickr page is too closely held for my taste.
- I only want HIGH QUALITY images. They don’t have to be huge, but pixilated crap won’t work.
- Watermarks on the images are ONLY ok if it is the originating site. So images from a Maxim shoot with the Maxim logo / Url is only fair, but a Maxim image with “bobsbabes.com” URL is not unless Bob took the shots.
- Format the information (word document, HTML or even plain text)
- Zip all of that up into a zip file named after the girl and upload it via the minion tools.
Do one or two, then wait. I will look them over and decide if we are heading in the right direction 🙂
